Dear IBA Members,
I hope that you’re all having a good summer in spite of the giant uncertainties that are looming over the fall.
Although some school districts are slowly finding more clarity, most of us are still very much in the dark regarding exactly what our fall will look like. And even though there aren’t really answers out there right now, things will (hopefully) start to take shape over the course of the next few weeks as scientific studies begin to come out and schools start to announce their individual plans.I would like to invite IBA members from across the state to join us for the IBA Mid-Summer Zoom Week.
Throughout the week of July 13 -17, IBA members will be hosting a series of conversations geared towards specific grade levels and ensembles. This is an opportunity for sharing ideas and concerns while providing support to one another in a time when civil conversation is our only real tool for preparing for what comes next.
Below, you will find a list of times and topics along with the Zoom links to get you into the conversation. This list can also be found on the IBA COVID-19 Response Website.
Thank you for all that you do for music education in Iowa. I hope you are able to drop by one or more of these chats. I know they will be worth your time!
Yours in music,
