The SEIBA membership form is now available for download.

Saturday, November 1st, Fall Symposium, ISU Campus in Ames. This Symposium is a day long event directly geared for 1st and 2nd year Directors (Band, Vocal, and Orchestra.) All the sessions are centered around topics that are important to first year teachers such as a panel discussion from 2nd and 3rd year directors on "How I survived my first year," a session sponsored by IHSMA on rules and regulations, to a round table discussion with retired and experienced band directors. Thursday, September 4th, SEIBA New Directors Get-Together at 6:30PM at "The Edge" Restaurant in Coralville. All first and second year Directors as well as new to SEIBA directors are welcomed and encouraged to attend. At this get together you can get acquainted with other area band directors, get information about festival and contest dates, learn more about SEIBA and IBA, and get a great meal where the tab is picked up by SEIBA (South East Iowa Bandmasters Association) and West Music Co.! In addition, if you are a first or second year teacher and would like a mentor, this is the place to do that also! This meeting is geared to welcome all new band directors but mainly to assist first year teachers in finding a mentor for the school year and maybe even for life! The solo and ensemble festival page has been updated.

As of today there have been no updates to the site. Following the summer planning meeting the web page will be updated gradually as I receive all of the new information from the officers and event chairs. Hopefully this process will be done prior to September 1st.

The summer planning meeting scheduled for August 4th has been rescheduled on Wednesday, August 6th. The meeting will take place at The Edge Restaurant on 1st Avenue in Coralville beginning at 1:00 PM.
