SCIBA MAJOR LANDERS SCHOLARSHIP

Event Information:

  1. •To be eligible, students must be members of their high school band program and plan on pursuing a degree in Music Education at a college or university in the state of Iowa.

  2. •Each participating student’s director must be a member of SCIBA and IBA to be eligible for this scholarship.

  3. •Scholarships will be awarded to the top 3 students selected by competitive audition.  The first place recipient will represent our district at the IBA Major Landers auditions held during the annual conference
    in May.

  4. •Auditions will include a solo performance of the student’s choice; performance of all major scales and chromatic scale; a music theory test; review of recommendations, activities, honors, and grades; and
    an informal interview by the panel of judges.
